Position Summary The Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford invites applications for a full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor of Business Analytics. The successful candidate will contribute to the school's mission by teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research, and engaging in service to the university and community.
Key Responsibilities
Teach business analytics, data science, and related courses at undergraduate and graduate levels (graduate courses taught both in person and online).
Develop and maintain an active research agenda with publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Advise and mentor students, including supervising capstone projects and theses.
Participate in curriculum development and program enhancement.
Engage in service activities within the school, university, and professional community.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. or DBA in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field (ABD candidates considered).
OrMS in Business Analytics with 5+ years of work experience.
Experience with analytics tools such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, or SAS preferred.
