Job Overview
Assist the Manager and LCM team in planning, organizing, leading, and controlling MBVs activities relating to the company's Launch & Change Management functions which include Bill of Material and Documentation control, Project management, Engineering change implementation control processes, maintenance and accuracy. Responsibilities
Maintain an efficient and effective organization through effective communication across all departments and actively monitor for risks to the processes. Ensure LCM coordination meetings are effective in facilitating the efficient and economic implementation of all product changes. Ensure the accuracy of the Bill of Material is maintained in an efficient and effective manner. Establish and recommend approval for potential systems enhancements and upgrades. Provide direction for LCM specialists in their efforts to establish adoption dates for Engineering Changes and coordinate plans for implementation of changes. Establish, maintain and promote continual improvement of all necessary process flows and procedures for LCM. Lead LCM tasks utilizing the Mercedes Benz Production System methodologies. Maintain a high degree of professionalism and integrity while interfacing with supporting departments, customers and suppliers and regularly monitor activities to ensure consistency. Monitor and perform periodic audits of all phases of the LCM documentation and drawing/data distribution control. LCM specialists actively plan, monitor, confirm, and implement new model product changes and generate Product Maturity status reporting for Project Management. Provide direction for the Launch & Change Management Specialists in their efforts to establish and maintain the Bill of Material. May perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related Engineering field required, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional experience in a Logistics oriented environment within a manufacturing setting, with strong emphasis on project management and process planning preferred. Knowledge and Skills
Enhanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of management, executive/senior staff. Highly motivated self-starter; Team oriented; Outstanding planning and proactive skills. Benefits
