Job Summary The Benefits Enrollment Counselor plays a key role on the Enrollment Success Team, serving as a trusted guide for employees navigating their benefits journey. This individual contributor position provides education and support, actively manages and completes benefits enrollments for employees. Through meaningful engagement, clear education, and empathetic support, the Benefit Enrollment Counselor delivers an effortless enrollment experience—ensuring every employee feels informed, confident, and cared for throughout their benefits journey.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities Enrollment Focus – 60%

Support inbound, scheduled, and outbound calls in a fast-paced call center environment.

Guide employees through benefit enrollment process for core and voluntary benefits.

Educate employees on available benefits using clear explanations and relatable examples.

Deliver client-facing presentations via webinars to educate and inform employees.

Accurately process and complete employee benefit enrollments, ensuring all selections are finalized and documented.

Compliance and Customer Care – 30%

Maintain confidentiality of participant information in compliance with HIPAA and company standards.

Actively listen and respond to employee questions with clarity, empathy, and professionalism.

Provide seamless experiences by communicating next steps and resolving inquiries effectively.

Training & Coaching – 10%

Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current on products and process updates, applying coaching feedback to improve customer engagement and deliver proactive support.

Collaborate with team leads and managers to ensure smooth and successful enrollment processes.

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong active listening ability.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining precision and accuracy; actively achieving goals set with manager.

Comfortable working in a dynamic, phone-based environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and enrollment platforms (e.g., Selerix, Employee Navigator, ADP).

Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and data security.

Adaptable and receptive to feedback in a fast-changing environment.

Job Specifications Required education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred education: Associate degree.

Required experience: Minimum of three (3) years in benefits, insurance, or call center environment.

Preferred experience: Prior experience in employee benefits counseling or enrollment services.

Required professional licensure or certification: Active and Continuous Life and Health Insurance License; continued education in states where it is required.

Preferred professional licensure or certification: Bilingual proficiency to support a diverse employee population.

Salary Range USD 25.00 - 33.29 per hour.
