Qualifications / Experience Requirements

High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.

Bilingual preferred.

Previous administrative experience preferred; other secretarial experience may be considered.

Must have knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook and a minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute accurately.

Experience in establishing and maintaining comprehensive filing systems, including confidential information and record keeping.

Ability to independently prioritize and function accurately under pressure.

Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff situations and sensitive school and district information.

Must attend training throughout the school year at the Regional Service Center or another RMA campus if requested.

Great customer service skills and ability to relate to a variety of constituencies in a professional manner.

Possesses excellent organizational and time management skills.

Must possess a sense of humor.

Other alternatives to the above qualifications may be considered by the district.

Essential Performance Responsibilities

Places and receives telephone calls, fields questions, and records accurate messages.

Greets students, parents, staff, and visitors in a pleasant and professional manner.

Ensures potential students sign up online while on campus.

Formats, composes, and types various correspondences, reports, notices, and other documents using MS Word or Excel. Reviews documents for accuracy and completeness.

Compiles operational statistics and other data as assigned.

Produces and submits internal reports on time.

Manages distribution and collection of HR documentation for new hires and returning employees, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

Orders and maintains office equipment and supplies.

Opens mail, distributes, and processes incoming correspondence.

Participates in planning and preparation of school activities including open houses, parent-teacher meetings, field trips, and audits.

Performs photocopying and faxing to support staff.

Manages student attendance reporting, including ADA attendance reconciliation.

Assists Principal with data entry of discipline reports.

Prepares and sends correspondence to parents as directed by Principal, including ARD notices.

Supports registrar and counselor during high-need periods and performs registrar functions when absent.

Assists Central Office staff with onboarding new hires, timecard management, and other responsibilities.

Performs other tasks assigned or delegated by Principal.

Working Hours

Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
