Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain standard costs for all manufactured products and processes.
Conduct detailed variance analysis for production costs, material usage, and labor efficiency.
Prepare and analyze monthly inventory valuations, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
Generate comprehensive cost reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and cost drivers.
Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, specifically for manufacturing costs.
Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements within production.
Analyze product profitability and provide insights to support pricing decisions and strategic planning.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CMA or CPA certification preferred
3-5+ years of cost accounting experience, specifically within a manufacturing environment
Proven proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and absorption costing
Demonstrated ability to analyze production costs, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for cost reduction
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with advanced ERP costing modules (e.g., SAP CO, Oracle Cost Management)
Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or SQL
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan)
