We are seeking a Claims Examiner to join our Shared Services Team. Responsibilities include investigating, evaluating and resolving various types of commercial first and third‑party low‑complexity General Liability claims. This requires accurate and thorough documentation and completion of resolution action plans based upon applicable law, coverage, and supporting evidence.
Position Summary This role requires comprehensive investigation of coverage, liability and damages, documentation of facts, and maintenance of evidence to support claim resolution. You will analyze supporting damage documentation, establish appropriate loss and expense reserves with documented rationale, and remain compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Provide and maintain exceptional customer service and ongoing communication to the appropriate stakeholders throughout the life of the claim.
Conduct thorough investigation of coverage, liability and damages, documenting facts and maintaining evidence to support claim resolution.
Review and analyze supporting damage documentation.
Comply with and stay abreast of all statutory and regulatory requirements in all applicable jurisdictions.
Establish appropriate loss and expense reserves with documented rationale.
Demonstrate technical efficiency through timely and consistent execution of best claim‑handling practices and guidelines.
Experience & Qualifications
Hands‑on experience and strong aptitude with Outlook, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Knowledge of ImageRight preferred.
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), influencing, evaluating, listening, and interpersonal skills to develop productive working relationships.
Ability to participate in active strategic discussions and leverage technical knowledge to make cost‑effective decisions.
Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to meet internal and external regulatory timelines.
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
Texas Claim Adjuster license preferred; candidate will be required to obtain license within six months of hire (if not already holding).
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3–5 years’ experience handling commercial insurance claims.
Compensation Base salary range: $71,900 – $97,110 per year. The total individual compensation package includes base salary, short‑ and long‑term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits program.
