About the Human Resources Department The Human Resources Department is responsible for key areas typically associated with HR, such as talent acquisition, learning and development, payroll, employment law compliance, and performance management. Role Description As a Human Resources Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in the daily operations of the HR team by providing essential administrative and operational support. Your responsibilities include maintaining accurate employee records, managing administrative HR processes, coordinating compliance initiatives, and assisting in key HR functions such as performance management and employee offboarding. You’ll also serve as a backup for the onboarding and I‑9 verification process. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion will be essential as you support a dynamic and people‑focused department.

Employment Details

Classification: Non‑Exempt

Hourly Basis: Requires clocking in and out for all hours worked and is eligible for overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a given workweek.

Work Schedule: Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 4 days per week in the St. Louis Corporate Office located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow the Work From Home policy, which will be provided to candidates selected for interview.

Qualifications

Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources.

Basic knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.

High proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and technology assets against unauthorized disclosure, destruction, and/or alteration, in accordance with Safety National policies, standards, and procedures.

Safety National is committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market‑based compensation. The target base salary range for this position is $44,000 to $58,500. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
