Outdoor Education Nature Specialist – 2026 Summer Camp Position

If you are a high school senior, college age, or teacher with available summers and want to work with children ages 3-15, our camp is the place to be.
Oak Crest Day Camp offers lots of fun for staff, including staff parties and outings.
Responsibilities
Teach campers about nature, the environment, gardening, and other outdoor activities.
Create engaging outdoor lessons and activities that spark children's imagination.
Work with children ages 3-15 to promote learning and personal growth.
Assist in camp operation, including setup, cleanup, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Outdoor education background preferred.
Experience working with children preferred.
Experience with Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts is a plus.
Fun personality and ability to inspire children.
Availability during the summer camp season.
Benefits

Free nights and weekends.
Potential transportation arrangement to and from camp.
Possible additional income as a bus counselor.
Location & Dates Oak Crest Day Camp is located in Franklin Township, NJ. Camp dates are June 29 – August 21, 2026 (Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑4:15 pm). No camp Friday July 3rd.
Campers and staff come from numerous surrounding townships including Bridgewater, Hillsborough, Warren, Watchung, Basking Ridge, Belle Mead, Bound Brook, Branchburg, Colonia, Cranbury, East Brunswick, Edison, Flemington, Fords, Franklin Park, Green Brook, Highland Park, Kendall Park, Martinsville, Metuchen, Middlesex, Milltown, Monmouth Junction, Neshanic Station, North Brunswick, New Brunswick, Piscataway, Princeton, Princeton Junction, Raritan, Scotch Plains, Skillman, Somerset, Westfield, Whitehouse Station and Woodbridge.
