Student Support Specialist – Apprenticeship Program The Student Support Specialist for Apprenticeship Programs provides direct support to students enrolled in CSN’s apprenticeship pathways. This role ensures apprentices receive guidance, resources, and advocacy to successfully navigate academic requirements, workplace expectations, and career development opportunities. The specialist also plays a key role in supporting student enrollment to strengthen program accessibility and completion.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to students in apprenticeship pathways, including guidance on academic and career development.

Advocate for apprentices to navigate academic requirements, workplace expectations, and career opportunities.

Collaborate with faculty, employers, and student services to enhance program accessibility and completion.

Travel to employer sites and community events as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

One year of related professional experience.

Experience in student advising, workforce programs, apprenticeship coordination, or enrollment services.

Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree or higher in education from an accredited college/university.

One year experience in apprenticeships and/or counseling.

Additional Information Starting salary: $44,756 (Administrative Faculty B). This position is grant‑funded and contingent upon ongoing available funding.
