Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.**What You'll Be Doing*** Operate haul trucks to transport materials safely and efficiently within the plant.* Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.* Communicate with plant personnel to coordinate material movement.* Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations.* Assist with general plant duties as needed to support production.**What Are We Looking For*** Proven ability to operate heavy equipment safely and responsibly.* Strong awareness of safety practices in an industrial setting.* Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.* Willingness to work in varying weather and environmental conditions.* Dependable, punctual, and committed to quality work.**Conditions of Employment*** Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.* Must meet all legal and company requirements for employment eligibility.**Work Environment*** Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.**Physical Demands of the Job*** Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment.* Must be able to climb in and out of haul trucks and other heavy machinery.* Frequent walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.* Manual dexterity and visual acuity required to operate equipment safely.* Tolerance for working in outdoor conditions including dust, mud, and uneven terrain.**What We Offer*** Starting Pay $23.69 per hour DOE* 401(k) retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions* Highly competitive benefits programs, including:
