Overview
Systems Engineer II role at SNC. Join our team to modernize the U.S. Air Force’s Survivable Airborne Operations Center.
Responsibilities Use skills to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge ISR and aviation products. Develop complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, transitioning them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test.
Qualifications Must Have
Bachelor’s of Science in Systems Engineering or related discipline and typically 2+ years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience working in multi‑disciplinary design and development teams
Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, V&V principles
An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred
Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, MATLAB
Knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
Experience or certification in INCOSE standards
Background in Aerospace and Defense Industry
Exposure to baseline definition and maturation in complex development setting, high impact trade studies
Understanding of establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)
