Signing Bonus:
$600 for qualified candidates.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Proficient with GD&T, geometry and trigonometry (shop math). Vocational technical program certificate preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
Proficient in reading, understanding and interpreting specifications, blueprints, drawings, test procedures, work instructions, and other applicable production/inspection documentation.
Working knowledge of inspection techniques, tools, equipment such as gauges, meters, calipers, micrometers.
Ability to perform visual and dimensional inspections of in‑process and finished work.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail.
Experience
Minimum 3 years experience in a QC Inspector role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong ability to read and interpret charts, graphs, technical procedures, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
Knowledge of quality control methods and techniques such as first article, in‑process and final assembly inspections, manufacturing processes, testing procedures, and analyzing data for detailed documentation.
Computer experience utilizing MS Word and/or ERP system.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams and engineering specifications to obtain product information such as materials, cosmetic requirements, and dimensions.
Verify conformity of finished products by confirming specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; return products for re‑work; confirm re‑work.
Verify conformity of first pieces and products going to outside service using the same process.
Accurately perform and complete First Article inspection reports and Non‑conformance reports.
Inspect production components and subassemblies for conformance to predetermined standards, specifications, tolerance, and quality procedures.
Verify in‑process conformity by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to production supervision.
Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re‑work and waste, inputting data into the quality database.
Document results of all inspection findings, including detailed descriptions/discrepancies, and monitor corrective actions.
Perform complex and critical inspection procedures requiring special set‑up of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety of sources.
Perform line, in‑process, subassembly, shipping and receiving inspections as needed.
Measurement Equipment
Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions.
Perform routine quality audits of controlled manufacturing area for material identification, traceability, equipment calibration, etc. and prepare reports under the direction of the Quality Manager.
Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
Other Responsibilities
Accomplish quality and organizational mission by completing related results as needed.
Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, change approach or methods to fit the situation, and handle frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
Build and promote effective working relationships with cross‑functional groups.
Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Physical Demands:
20/20 vision with or without correction; use of hands 100% of the time; stand, bend, stoop, twist, turn. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Salary:
$19 – $24 per hour.
