Job Overview
Amentum is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our engineering team in Dahlgren, VA.
We support the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile Program by researching concepts, developing and installing fleet capabilities, and advising the government.
Responsibilities
Support engineering teams in the development of the Strategic Weapons System.
Perform analysis and problem‑solving techniques necessary to execute professional scientific/engineering work.
Work independently and with others within established teams across organizations to meet schedule‑driven timelines.
Perform audits of Fire Control Software and related products to ensure compliance.
Provide engineering support throughout the development cycle and assist with technical briefs.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree in engineering, science, or a related technical discipline.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government clearance. U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with NSWC Dahlgren or other SLBM organizations.
Experience performing software audits.
