Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a

Systems Administrator - SME

in Dayton, OH.

As a System Administrator with MTSI, you will support a customer operating out of Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. The Senior System Administrator serves as the Program Office's information technology and is responsible for supporting, designing, maintaining, and monitoring internal and external networks as well as implementing and managing all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Additionally, the Senior System Administrator would resolve network performance issues, recommend upgrades, patches and new applications and equipment, and provide technical support and guidance to users.

Responsibilities

Independent execution of IT/Systems Administrator tasks in a classified work environment.

Support the implementation, configuration, operations, and maintenance of multiple classified and unclassified networked systems.

Plan, coordinate, and install applications, software, and hardware for classified networked systems.

Provide troubleshooting/Helpdesk support to all ABMS assigned personnel and define/resolve IT issues.

Maintain inventory control records for all ABMS IT equipment, including current and future inventory.

Oversee the installation and configuration of application software and the establishment of user environments.

Manage installation of system patches and enhancements/updates and ensure system integrity is not compromised.

Provide proactive consultation and instruction to system users to ensure seamless implementation of changes.

Provide ABMS with secure video teleconferencing (VTC) support.

Administer and maintain assigned multiple systems as ABMS POC for networks.

Define IT issues and work to resolve: identify system problems, develop corrective actions, anticipate potential problems, troubleshoot and analyze complex hardware and software malfunctions, recommend equipment/software, and implement corrective or preventive procedures.

Analyze and diagnose system failures to isolate source of problems and perform testing, troubleshooting, and correction of complex or unusual problems involving interface and interoperability of system components.

Optimize the functionality and performance of hardware and software systems, ensuring availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers.

Design data products, processes, or programs that enhance functional area management and provide for increased organization optimization of IT processes.

Develop standard procedures for account establishment, system maintenance, and system recovery.

Ensure maintenance and upgrade procedures minimize disruption to normal business functions, including scheduled backups and minimal impact of upgrades or patches.

Support contractor inspections to ensure contractor node network controls are documented and properly implemented.

Participate in working groups and team planning offsites.

Establish trusted and influential relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

12+ years of relevant System Administration for DoD networks.

Security+ Certification.

Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSH, IP CONFIG).

Experience in Technical Support, Cloud Computing, Information Security, and Compliance.

Installing, configuring, and managing network switches and routers (versed in OSPF, MPLS, SDN, routing/switching on Juniper and Cisco hardware platforms).

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required with 16 years of Sys Admin experience or Master's Degree with 12 years of Sys Admin experience.

Clearance Requirements

Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility.

At least 12 months of Special Access Programs (SAP) experience within the last 3 years.

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Additional Notes

Occasional travel (20%) may be required to government and industry locations.
