Duties Description The ITS 4 position will be under the direction of a Manager of Information Technology Services 1 within the Office of Information Technology Services – Dedicated Support Team / Tax.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Manage a team of Cognos developers and their associated workload.

Create and maintain Data Modules in Cognos Analytics to use for report creation.

Create and maintain standard reports with Cognos Analytics Report Studio.

Create and maintain analysis Dashboards.

Research and analyze data to determine best solution based on requirements.

Collaborate with DBAs to improve functionality of reports.

Review and approve projects for migration to Production.

Work with users to define business requirements for new and ongoing reporting projects.

Review and update Report and Dashboard spec documents.

Provide assistance with Server Administration and Security.

Create and modify SQL statements

Perform all supervisory duties

Minimum Qualifications Open to NYS employees with one year of permanent competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 4, SG25 OR in a position at the SG23 level or higher deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law OR in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in advancement of more than two salary grades.

Candidates must be reachable on the current eligible list for this title in order to be list appointed.

ITS will not offer permanent employment to any candidate unless the candidate provides documentation that they are authorized to accept work in the United States on a permanent basis. To permanent non‑competitive and the official probationary period will begin.

Positions located in New York City will receive an additional $3,400 downstate adjustment location pay with regular annual salary. Positions located in the Mid‑Hudson will receive an additional $1,650 adjustment location pay.
