This opportunity resides with
Warfare Systems (WS) , a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems. HII works within our nation’s intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. Our capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, software and hardware development uniquely enable us to support sensitive missions for the U.S. military and federal agency partners.
Summary HII’s Mission Technologies division is dedicated to delivering cutting‑edge solutions that advance national security and defense objectives. This position is part of our Cyber and Intelligence division, supporting enterprise‑level security and modernization across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical facilities, and personnel operations. The selected candidate will contribute to a high‑impact government program focused on enhancing and securing mission‑critical systems and environments. The program is scheduled to launch in early 2026 and requires an active
TS/SCI
security clearance.
Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.
Review contracts to determine documentation required for each project phase, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
Analyze proposed changes to product design to determine effect on overall product and system.
Coordinate modification records for management control.
Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.
Minimum Qualifications by Level
Configuration Analyst 1
– 0 years experience with a Bachelor’s in related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
Configuration Analyst 2
– 3 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s in related field; 1 year relevant experience with a Master’s in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
Configuration Analyst 3
– 6 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s in related field; 4 years relevant experience with a Master’s in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
Configuration Analyst 4
– 10 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s in related field; 8 years relevant experience with a Master’s in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
Active
TS/SCI
government security clearance required to start.
Preferred (Bonus Points)
Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, or cost analysis.
Proficiency with Excel, Tableau, or financial modeling software.
Knowledge of government contracting and DoD processes.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Salary Range Configuration Analyst 1: $54,669 – $78,099 Configuration Analyst 2: $66,495 – $94,992 Configuration Analyst 3: $83,658 – $119,510 Configuration Analyst 4: $104,734 – $149,620
