Business Applications Analyst
Our client is seeking a Business Applications Analyst to support critical financial, HR, and operational platforms in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. This role sits at the intersection of technology and business operations, serving as a key escalation point for complex system issues while also contributing to reporting, enhancements, and system improvements. What You’ll Be Doing
Serve as a primary support resource for enterprise financial, HR, and related business applications, handling advanced issues and user inquiries.
Build and deliver custom reports, queries, and data extracts to support operational and management needs.
Partner with internal IT teams, vendors, and consultants to implement system improvements, upgrades, and fixes.
Act as an escalation point for higher‑level application support issues originating from the Help Desk.
Evaluate business processes and system workflows, recommending improvements that enhance efficiency and usability.
Support application deployments, patches, and upgrades, coordinating timing and communication with impacted teams.
Create and maintain system documentation, user guides, and support materials.
Provide post‑implementation support and assist with user training and knowledge transfer as needed.
Maintain awareness of business operations, including finance, HR, and select legal‑adjacent processes, to better support system users.
What We’re Looking For
3–5 years of experience in a business systems, applications, or technical analyst role.
Strong communication and client‑service skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Proven ability to analyze complex processes and translate business needs into system solutions.
Experience supporting financial management, timekeeping, billing, or similar enterprise systems.
Working knowledge of SQL (MSSQL preferred), data integrations, ETL concepts, APIs, or automation tools.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
High attention to detail, especially in change management and production support environments.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field preferred.
Experience with legal or professional services platforms (such as Aderant) is a plus but not required.
