Job Summary Systems Specialists are responsible for overseeing the training of the entire lodging department as well as serve as subject-matter experts on Yellowstone National Park.

Pay: $24.75/hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
Manage and give direction to a staff of trainers in the fields of training or systems associated with their specialty of housekeeping, campgrounds, and/or front desks. Ensure consistency of training with presentation styles and content messaging, with direction from the Specialist manager.
Focus on all tasks associated with the specialty as they pertain to the lodging department. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the specialty. Act as a resource for field managers and assistant managers on procedures, standards, and other company‑wide policies and procedures.
Assist with, schedule, and coordinate training of all seasonal field personnel to perform job tasks utilizing presentation and on‑the‑job training techniques (housekeeping, campgrounds, and/or front desk).
Assist with training Managers and Assistant Managers on job specific tasks and responsibilities, in conjunction with the Systems/Specialist Manager, Management Training Department and their respective Location Managers.
Assist with annually updating job training manuals and aides.
Assist with schedules and coordinating of training venues and dates for training classes. Schedule mid‑season arrival training as needed.
Assist in setting up and implementing procedures: such as for company sales promotions and special packages or programs, or changes in work flow.
Review and respond to guest concerns involving the training process and procedures.
Stay active in the specialty community attending functions, meetings, seminars and training.
May act as a representative on Parkwide Safety Committee, YESC (Yellowstone Environmental Steward Council) and the Chemical Review Committee.
To accomplish special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Effective interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow instructions and count accurately.
Effective organizational skills.
Business writing skills.
Effective teaching skills and public speaking skills.
Knowledge of computer programs; Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, LMS, AS400, Opera, Cloud Suite, and time clock.
Knowledge Company and Department policies and procedures.
Valid driver’s license and DOT physical may be required.
Overnight and in‑park travel required.
Physical Requirements
Lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds as needed throughout the day; lifting and carrying of supplies sporadically throughout the day.
Making beds, bending, kneeling, stretching, and reaching as needed.
Standing for long periods of time, frequent walking up and down stairs, as well as in outdoor areas sporadically throughout the day.
Speaking clearly in front of large audiences for several hours.
Sitting and typing at a computer for extended periods of time.
