We are seeking a skilled and dependable Kitchen Suppression Technician to join our field service team. This role is ideal for a technician with strong technical ability, code knowledge, and a commitment to customer‑tailored service, integrity, and reliability.

Position Overview The Kitchen Suppression Technician is responsible for the inspection, installation, testing, and repair of commercial kitchen fire suppression systems, along with fire extinguishers and related life safety equipment. This position requires independent field work, technical expertise, and clear communication with customers to ensure systems remain code‐compliant and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities Kitchen Fire Suppression Systems

Inspect, test, service, and install commercial kitchen fire suppression systems from various manufacturers

Perform system testing and inspections using industry‑leading best practices

Identify NFPA code violations and non‑conformance issues and recommend corrective actions

Perform on‑site emergency troubleshooting and repairs as needed

Maintain accurate inspection, testing, and repair documentation

Fire Extinguishers & Life Safety Equipment

Inspect fire extinguishers and identify units due for service or replacement

Remove and replace non‑serviceable extinguishers with compliant units

Ensure compliance with Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) Fire Extinguisher Rules and Statutes and NFPA 10

Inspect, test, and repair life safety devices, including exit signs

Inspect, test, and repair life safety devices, including emergency lights

Inspect, test, and repair life safety devices, including panic hardware and doors

Replace batteries and perform minor repairs as required

Field Operations

Clearly communicate deficiencies and recommendations to customers in a professional manner

Accurately record all findings using a company‑issued smart device

Inspect and maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment

Submit repair requests as needed to ensure safe and reliable operation

Required Qualifications

Current FEL‑K license issued by the Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office OR ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

Kitchen suppression system experience preferred (manufacturer certifications a plus)

Clean driving record

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Proficiency with hand and power tools

Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills

Excellent punctuality, organization, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage a field schedule
