HR Technology Programs & Digital Transformation Leader (Contract)
We are seeking a senior-level HR Technology leader with strong HR domain expertise to drive complex, global programs at the intersection of HR, technology, and digital transformation. This role will serve as a strategic program leader and trusted advisor; partnering closely with HR, IT, and executive stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions across our HR technology ecosystem.
This is a hands‑on, individual contributor role requiring strong judgment, executive presence, and the ability to influence without authority in a highly matrixed, global environment. The ideal candidate combines HR functional fluency with enterprise program leadership and the agility to move seamlessly between strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead enterprise-scale HR technology programs ensuring alignment to business priorities, risk mitigation, and value realization
Act as a senior program leader for HR digital transformation initiatives, including roadmap development, sequencing, dependency management, and executive communications
Partner closely with HR, IT, and external vendors to coordinate delivery across complex, interdependent workstreams
Provide strategic oversight of Oracle Cloud HCM initiatives, with specific focus on Time & Labor and Absence Management (experience preferred)
Proactively surface risks, issues, and trade‑offs, offering clear recommendations and solution paths
Translate business and HR needs into clear program plans, milestones, and success measures
Operate as a connector and integrator, ensuring consistency, governance, and alignment across regions and functions
Bring a continuous‑improvement mindset, identifying opportunities to enhance delivery models, governance, and ways of working
Support future team growth and capability building as the function evolves
To Be Successful In This Role You Will
Have proven experience in senior-level program or portfolio management, ideally within HR Technology, Digital Transformation, or Enterprise Systems
Possess solid working knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM
Have demonstrated success operating in a global, matrixed environment, influencing outcomes without formal authority
Possess exceptional ability to lead through complexity, ambiguity, and change
Have a solid executive presence with the confidence to challenge, influence, and advise senior leaders
Be highly analytical and solution-oriented, with the ability to quickly assess issues and drive pragmatic outcomes
Have excellent communication skills; able to translate complex topics into clear, actionable insights
Be comfortable moving between strategic thinking and detailed execution
Preferred Experience
Have prior experience supporting large-scale HR transformations or cloud migrations
Have background working with external implementation partners or system integrators
Have familiarity with HR operating models, shared services, or global governance structures
This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of converting to a full-time permanent position at Akamai.
