Responsibilities
Event support for Center programs, both on and off campus (registration, room reservations, media, materials, catering, outreach, communication, etc.)
Design and distribution of bi‑monthly Newsletters (News & Events, Inclusive Teaching)
Maintain and update website for the Center and its constituents both immediately and on a quarterly basis
Record and maintain accurate master database records
Gather statistical data for the Annual Report, incorporating data from the Center’s database and various Excel reports from Sheridan constituents, layout, design, printing, and distribution
Prepare resource materials using software such as InDesign
Act as first line of contact for students and guests visiting the Center
Provide staff meeting support (meeting minutes, room set up, materials)
Compile feedback and notes from workshops for assessment and review by workshop instructors
Maintain confidential staff contact information
Process employee expense reports for all Sheridan staff
Supervise the retrieval and distribution of mail for all Sheridan staff
Provide training on procedures and timelines for event support and database entries to all new staff members
Track and maintain proper inventory level of regular center supplies
Monitor the appearance and condition of Center spaces, submit and track facility work orders as needed, and ensure office equipment is operating properly
Education and Experience
Associates degree with minimum of 3 years of related experience or a bachelor’s degree and minimum of 1 year of experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working in a higher education setting is preferred.
Proficient with standard application software including Excel and Word
Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, and Filemaker Pro preferred
Experience with Website updates and maintenance

Additional Information The successful candidate is expected to work on Brown's Providence campus for a minimum of three days per week with the flexibility to work remotely on other days. All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
