Overview Lutron Electronics is the leading manufacturer of lighting controls worldwide. The Business Law team supports virtually every function across the company, and we are building a world‑class legal team as we grow domestically and internationally. This role makes an immediate contribution as a Contracts Specialist.

Responsibilities

Manage contract intake, prioritization, and review for the team, including interacting with business professionals, performing initial reviews to identify escalation needs, and allocating matters to team members.

Prepare, review, and negotiate routine contracts independently following established parameters and escalation guidelines.

Engage diplomatically with stakeholders and advocate for Lutron’s interests throughout the contracting process.

Organize and manage contracts through the contract lifecycle, supporting record‑keeping and filing procedures.

Support ongoing improvement of contract templates, playbooks, and processes, and guide clients regarding best practices.

Become a subject‑matter expert for the document management system and other relevant software tools.

Collaborate with legal and non‑legal colleagues on various projects, supporting multiple concurrent projects through initiation to completion, developing timelines, milestones, status reports, and identifying process improvements.

Stay aligned to Lutron’s culture and values while being flexible and adaptable.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of paralegal experience in transactional practice, preferably in‑house.

Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Teams; SharePoint experience is a significant plus.

Willingness and ability to quickly learn additional applications, including the latest legal technology.

Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a rapidly evolving environment.

Customer focus and strong communication/interpersonal skills, able to navigate a complex matrix organization.

Understanding and demonstrated sensitivity to confidentiality and attorney‑client privilege.
