Fire Alarm Service Lead Technician

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Alarm System Service Technician to lead the implementation and maintenance of fire alarm systems for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 5+ years of fire safety equipment service experience, and a strong commitment to safety and customer relationships.
Responsibilities
Service, inspect, and test fire alarm systems to manufacturer specifications.
Provide mentorship and on‑the‑job training to junior technicians, ensuring development of technical skills and adherence to company standards.
Perform on‑site emergency troubleshooting, programming, and repairs of fire alarm systems.
Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings of fire alarm systems and related electrical systems.
Diagnose problems or failures in assigned systems to identify equipment and/or system repair needs.
Commission systems, including loading software programs and implementing modifications.
Document commissioning details; communicate deficiencies and progress.
Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs.
Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards.
Identify code and non‑conformance issues.
Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material.
Skills and Qualifications
Valid Texas driver’s license with a safe driving record (no violations within the past 3 years).
NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level II or above.
Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and applying system design plans, building construction drawings, and documents.
Ability to differentiate types and colors of electrical wire.
Proven electro‑mechanical aptitude and PC/software skill.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
