Maintenance Manager | St. Johns, MI Salary Range: $84,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.

Develop, implement, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.

Oversee all reactive maintenance activities, ensuring prompt resolution of equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.

Manage the maintenance department budget, including spare parts inventory, procurement, and cost control.

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.

Collaborate with production and engineering departments to support new equipment installations and process improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

Proven leadership and team management experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.

Strong technical expertise in industrial machinery, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management, scheduling, and inventory.

Demonstrated ability to develop and manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation.

Experience implementing and optimizing preventative (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs.

Bonus Qualifications

CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) certification

Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification

Proficiency in advanced PLC programming or industrial automation systems

Experience implementing or managing predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography)

Proven project management experience for capital equipment installations or facility upgrades
