Overview
Job summary: Prepare, review, monitor or maintain contracts and ensure compliance of applicable rules and regulations. Research and prepare reports as needed. Serve in a senior-level advisory capacity for all contract matters within Area Public Sector Services. Maintain and develop business with WM customers and relationships with franchise operations in cities, counties, and special districts to ensure contracts are favorable to the Company. Serve as a company representative for local officials, community stakeholders, and associated businesses. Use various media channels to coordinate and disseminate publicity and goodwill information concerning WM. Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance customer relationships and satisfaction through involvement in the community, including attending public functions, City Council/Board meetings and other community events, conducting educational outreach, and working with media outlets for communication purposes. Develop community partnerships with elected officials and key stakeholders to generate positive press coverage and beneficial impact for the community and WM. Develop marketing strategies identifying retention and growth opportunities, including supporting strategies, resources and timelines to accomplish goals. Audit municipal contracts to verify compliance. Collaborate with District Managers and others to resolve noncompliance issues. Partner with Legal staff and internal departments to manage, formulate, draft, review, and negotiate municipal contracts and agreements. Manage complex contracts to ensure effectiveness by monitoring dollars and time remaining; advise on contract extensions or bid processes. Investigate and resolve inquiries regarding contract changes, complaints, discrepancies, disputes, defaults, cancellations, and claims. Provide recommendations and prepare documents for resolutions to management, as appropriate. Participate in strategic planning for municipal business within the Area. Evaluate existing municipal contracts for new business opportunities and revenue growth. Coordinate team processes by reviewing daily activities, monitoring work, developing contract administration procedures, and training staff. Ensure compliance with all laws, rules and regulations applicable to the Area’s municipal operations, and adherence to corporate governance and business integrity standards. Qualifications
Education and Experience
— Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) in Business Administration, Public Administration or similar field, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED with four years of relevant work experience. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of previous system and contract management experience (in addition to education requirements). Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

The expected base pay range for this office/on-site position is $93,000 - $105,000. This range is a good-faith estimate and may be influenced by factors including experience, education and training.
