Responsibilities

Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities

Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have

Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas of the store

Perform opening and closing procedures

Process all corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests and other store communications

Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays

Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits and receipts) and loss prevention

Maintain areas of the store, including a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom, to company standards

Protect and secure company assets, including store cash

Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines and ensure all associates follow company policies

Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates

Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional, friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders

Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning/restocking bathrooms, sweeping/mopping floors, taking out trash, ensuring all areas are neat and presentable

Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives required

Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred

Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting

Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required

Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required

Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required

Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required
