Base pay range $17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Responsibilities

Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required system start‑ups, cash handling, ensuring floor and stock rooms are ready for the business day, and opening the back door for deliveries.

Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.

Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.

Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Hold the store keys to open and close without management as necessary.

Assist and coach team members in warehouse and vendor ordering process, including opening back door for vendor deliveries.

Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.

Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on order release day and in reverse logistics (e.g., 1506, returns, empty package).

Assist in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions.

Maintain accurate inventory counts, ensuring correct on‑hand quantities in basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.

Ensure the Outdate program is followed with team members.

Responsible for basic department pricing and making daily price changes; ensure proper signage is displayed to support accurate product pricing and local regulation compliance.

Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as necessary.

Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance; request store or system repairs as required.

Assist with separation of food items and product placement per policies (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves); assist in stock rotation using FIFO method for consumable items.

Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.

Assists at pharmacy window as requested.

Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products).

Responsible for bag checks of team members before leaving the store.

Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.

Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Attend training and complete Pharmacy Practice Licensure (PPL) requested by Manager.

Serve as liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is absent.

Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

Qualifications

One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)

Knowledge of store inventory control (preferred).

Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state (preferred).
