Residential Program Manager
– Gateway Hudson Valley
Overview Gateway Hudson Valley invites applications for the Residential Program Manager, a critical role within the Residential Management Team. The Manager oversees daily operations of a residential program, ensuring safe, therapeutic, and regulatory‑compliant care for residents.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized service plans and quality assurance processes.
Lead monthly house and staff meetings, gather feedback, and drive program improvements.
Manage medication administration, documentation, and staff training on medication protocols.
Co‑ordinate nursing services with the Manager of Health & Nursing Services for residents requiring nursing care.
Recruit, interview, train, and supervise program staff, maintaining staffing patterns and schedules per regulatory guidelines.
Conduct intake and discharge processes, including resident screenings and coordination with the Movement & Benefits Coordinator.
Oversee food and household supplies, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with resident nutrition needs.
Maintain program budgets, monthly billing, entitlement records, and financial controls.
Manage resident benefit payments, rent collections, payment plans, and financial accuracy checks.
Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of residents through cleanliness, emergency preparedness, and incident reporting.
Serve as the program’s on‑call emergency contact and maintain workplace compliance with HR support.
Represent Gateway in community, county, and state agencies, advocating for residents and the organization.
Act as a Qualified Mental Health Professional or Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QMHP/QIDP) as required.
Conduct agency trainings as assigned by department leadership.
Qualifications – Required
4 years of experience in Human Services with a High School Diploma (or GED).
3 years of experience in Human Services with an Associate’s Degree.
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
Qualifications – Preferred
4+ years of Human Services experience.
Associate’s Degree in a Human Services related field.
Working Conditions
Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours per day.
Occasional bending, kneeling, and use of hands, wrists, and fingers with full range of motion.
Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
Mandatory CPR certification and recertification.
Regulatory and Background Clearance
Valid NYS Driver's License.
Background check required.
