The Supply Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies for the Outreach Lab and its network of
200+ facilities , including Skilled Nursing Facilities, clinics, physician offices, and partner labs across the tristate area. This role ensures timely availability of supplies to support uninterrupted patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Inventory Management
Monitor stock levels and usage trends for all outreach locations.
Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular audits.
Forecast supply needs based on historical data and upcoming demand.
Procurement & Distribution
Coordinate ordering of supplies from approved vendors.
Ensure timely delivery and distribution of supplies to all outreach sites.
Manage emergency supply requests and resolve shortages promptly.
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain documentation for regulatory compliance and audits.
Ensure proper storage and handling of supplies according to safety standards.
Communication & Coordination
Serve as the primary point of contact for supply‑related inquiries.
Collaborate with lab managers, nursing facilities, and clinics to align supply needs.
Provide regular updates to leadership on inventory status and potential risks.
Cost Control
Monitor and reduce waste by optimizing ordering practices.
Identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Qualifications
High school diploma
Experience in inventory management, supply chain, or healthcare operations.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in inventory software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
