Position Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading production staff to meet and exceed production goals of plastic thermoformed products. This role provides direction, leadership, and coaching for optimum production performance while ensuring top quality of products produced in a safety‑focused environment. Production Supervision

Directs operators with respect to production volume, quality of product and safety in the workplace. Motivates the team for maximum efficiency and productivity. Confers with the Plant Manager and General Manager to establish working schedules for all departments connected with production. Recommends hiring, training and coaching of production workers. Establishes accountability and goals used for performance evaluation in connection with other supervisors. Interviews, selects and trains employees for optimum production performance. Plans and apportion production work among team of employees. Maintains employee weekly time management system; monitors attendance to ensure attendance policy compliance for hourly and/or temporary workforce. Initiates coaching and/or disciplinary action in compliance with company attendance policy. Provides coaching and direction for performance and disciplinary actions. Provides instruction and resolutions to employee questions, concerns and conflict. Executes and delivers annual performance reviews. Prepares production records and reports. Keeps records of departmental activity as required. Assures efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods and elimination of wasteful practices within the department. Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices. Maintains good employee relations and adherence to company policy, taking proper and judicious disciplinary measures when required. Performs any other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or General Manager. Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing documentation and reports. Ability to respond to common inquiries or concerns from internal leadership and customers. Ability to effectively present information to plant management. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Detail oriented and ability to lead others in working efficiently and accurately. Ability to respond to problems quickly while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Self‑motivated with the desire to succeed; holds self‑accountable for positive performance. Quality focused with keen attention to detail and able to direct quality emphasis to production team to ensure production perfection and ISO 9001 compliance. Safety‑first commitment to ensure a safe work environment. Business acumen mindset to focus on growing the business and creating profit. Basic math skills required for production and inventory reporting. Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience in ERP systems also preferred. Education and Experience

High school graduate or equivalent. Additional college‑level courses in engineering and management subjects are desirable. Plastic injection molding manufacturing experience preferred. 3 or more years of supervisory experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing/production environment required. Benefits
