Sam’s Club is offering a Bakery Department Lead position in Eau Claire, WI. The role focuses on driving sales, supervising hourly associates, and delivering high‑quality bakery products to our members.
Compensation Base pay range: $23.00/hr – $31.00/hr.
Full hourly wage will consider skills, experience, and applicable premiums ranging from $0.35/hr to $3.00/hr based on schedule, facility, and specific work performed.
Responsibilities Be a Team Leader:
Supervise the Bakery teams, execute company programs, uphold policies, and maintain positive member experience across the club.
Be an Expert:
Maintain a deep knowledge of floor, back‑room operations, product specifications, and seasonality. Ensure compliance with quality, inventory, equipment, safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards. Share knowledge and train employees on new products, recipes, and production specifications.
Be a Techie:
Leverage digital tools for sales planning, training, and product quality. Use handheld technology for immediate business decisions and advocate new tools across the team.
Be an Owner:
Drive business results, keep the bakery safe and organized, manage staffing, inventory audit, and produce merchandise per layout plan while supporting production and member service.
Be a Talent Ambassador:
Provide instruction and coaching, identify training needs, grow team members’ careers, and source new talent both internally and externally.
Builds collaborative, inclusive culture, promotes ethical practices, supports veteran and community initiatives, and drives continuous improvement using new technologies and skills.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 6 months of experience in a bakery production department or 6 months supervising a team.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
ability to complete all required job training and assessments within the prescribed timeframe.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in bakery production, including decorating.
Experience supervising associates.
Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
