The Estimator will accurately assess costs for fire protection and safety projects. Responsibilities include preparing detailed cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring competitive bids that align with specifications. Core Responsibilities

Cost Estimation & Analysis

– Develop accurate estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and overhead; analyze blueprints and documentation; conduct site visits to identify cost factors and risks. Bid Preparation & Submission

– Prepare and submit comprehensive bids; collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders; review and adjust estimates based on feedback. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination

– Obtain and evaluate quotes; negotiate terms and conditions; integrate vendor and subcontractor costs into overall estimates. Cost Control & Budget Management

– Monitor and track project costs; provide cost‑saving recommendations; prepare detailed cost reports for review by project managers and senior leadership. Documentation & Reporting

– Maintain accurate records of estimates and bids; present cost analysis reports; ensure compliance with company policies and contractual requirements. Continuous Improvement

– Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes; promote best practices; provide suggestions for improving estimation processes and tools. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (certifications are a plus). Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost estimation, preferably within the fire protection or construction industry. Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, materials, and installation processes. Proficiency in estimation software, Microsoft Office Suite, and analytical tools. Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications
