Benefits To You
We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees [OR up to 99% of medical insurance premiums for part-time employees], including mental health coverage.
The hourly equivalent for this position is $26.82 - $41.61. [OR the annual salary for this position is $55,788 - $86,544.]
10 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, 3 personal business days, separate sick and vacation paid leaves (prorated for part-time employees), and other employee benefits such as optional insurances and flexible spending plans.
OJD will pay you a 5% allowance for bilingual skills (includes ASL) if you can pass a skills test and are assigned to use those skills on the job!
In this job profile, we offer candidates new to OJD up to the third step of the salary range, depending on experience. You are potentially eligible for a 5% annual increase.

Position Highlights The Multnomah County Circuit Court is hiring a
Family Law/Probate Clerk (Court Operations Specialist) .
Responsibilities
You will assist the public with Family Law and Probate matters at the counter, phone, and via email. Explain court procedures to the public, attorneys, and others.
Assist with operating public computer terminals.
Review forms for completeness including signatures, certify copies, and direct customers to the appropriate courtroom.
Organize, schedule, and re-schedule the most critical and complex court dockets and other appearances among multiple parties.
Address and process difficult case management issues. Review complex files for proper order and next appropriate action.
Use the Odyssey system to enter document information including motions, affidavits, orders, judgment and satisfactions.
Review and accept or reject filings through the File & Serve system utilizing the current business processes.
Cross train on different tasks to assist coworkers with other duties.

Minimum Qualifications
The qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Four (4) years of responsible administrative experience in a moderately complex office or business setting demonstrating the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this position.
OR any combination of education and experience equivalent to four (4) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Experience performing a variety of clerical or administrative support tasks that included using a computer to enter and retrieve information, meeting strict deadlines, and maintaining accuracy when interrupted or distracted by a noisy work setting.
Experience providing customer service, in-person and over the phone, to people who may be facing challenging circumstances, high levels of stress, behavioral health issues, or trauma.
Experience communicating effectively, orally and in writing, to a variety of audiences.
Experience explaining processes, procedures, policies, or decisions on behalf of an employer.
Experience reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position, and the work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per work week.
Occasional after-hours or overtime work may be required.
Frequent phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds.

Regular use of the following equipment: telephone, OJD-assigned computer with multiple monitors, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.
Additional Information Parking: Multnomah County Circuit Court does not provide parking for the central courthouse or justice center staff. Daily parking is available across SW 1st St from the central courthouse (monthly parking is limited). Another option is the Douglas Garage at 1835 S River Dr, Portland, OR 97204. Parking cost is $165/month and is a half-mile from the courthouse and justice center.
