Endurance Operations Manager – Caterpillar Inc.
Location: Sanford, NC.
Job Description
The Endurance Operations Manager will oversee endurance validation performed by equipment operators, maintain facility machines, and lead the testing site to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of operators performing simulated customer applications and special tests to identify defects and improvements.
Ensure endurance validation is completed accurately to deliver machines, attachments, and services of the highest quality.
Maintain and improve the testing and endurance site, coordinating with test operators and Facility EHS to remain compliant with environmental requirements.
Determine overtime needs, prioritize tasks when resources are limited, and enforce disciplinary action as necessary.
Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and eliminate non‑value added activities.
Order and distribute necessary parts and materials in a timely and efficient manner.
Implement corporate initiatives such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, CQMS/ISO certification, etc.
Train and develop staff, manage timekeeping, estimate personnel needs, assign work, meet completion dates, and ensure consistent application of organizational needs.
Adhere to established standards, policies, and practices related to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, affirmative action, and more.
Qualifications:
Strong planning and organization skills, with the ability to allocate time and resources systematically.
Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills to determine root causes and develop effective solutions.
Talent management experience, including leading, training, motivating, evaluating, and rewarding operators.

Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $79,800.00 – $119,760.00. Compensation and benefits may vary depending on individual factors.
