JOB SUMMARY
This position will lead a team of direct reports including Order Processors and Forklift Operators to help ensure order fulfillment, picking accuracy, order checking and truck loading metrics are executed
Oversee and implement onboarding job and safety training as well as ongoing training and safety check‑ins
Must embrace a culture of continuous improvement and effectively influence the attitudes and behavior of the team to work towards consistent excellence
Must have a strong knowledge of the warehouse and the ability to successfully work in collaboration with numerous Operations associates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement
Motivate and develop the order processing team – including performance and employee relations
Respond, investigate and resolve safety questions and concerns
Ensure all associates are educated on safety and proper use of the equipment
Ensure all associates are trained properly in picking, stacking, and wrapping product
Ensure orders are checked & loaded onto the correct truck
Train new employees on VoicePick and EasyPick
Ensure all safety protocols are being followed
Routinely assess skills of order processing team and provide additional training as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated leadership skills
Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects
Two-plus years of warehouse experience preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions and wide temperature variations
Must be to work flexible hours through the week and, sometimes weekends
Week before and, during National Holidays are a must to work
Dress code is business casual; closed‑toe shoes are suggested. Other restrictions may apply
Must be able to lift 35 lbs. minimum, climb ladders while working safely
While performing the duties of this job, employee is required to stand; balance; walk; climb stairs, sit; use hands to feel and handle objects, tools, or controls, including standard office equipment such as computers and phones; reach with hands and arms; talk; hear; and have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus
