Job Description The primary goal of this role is to manage the timely and cost‑effective procurement of capital materials and services, requisite contracts and agreements for the Research & Development department, as well as working within the Global Capex team and Capex buyer’s network to improve maturity and professional sourcing approach. These activities include but are not limited to supporting the SSP Strategic Sourcing Process execution through regional and/or local agreements, RFX’s, negotiations, supplier selection/development and contract management.
Responsibilities
Negotiation and purchasing of goods and services as appropriate
Contracts management
SAPand BW use for reporting on cost, consumption, stocks, quality
Use of appropriate tools and technics effectively to ensure that procurement delivers required targets and performances (TSC, Prosaving yearly targets)
Reports effectively and in time
Contributes delivering cost reduction targets
Support implementation of the Central Procurement strategies to achieve long‑term objectives: performing financial goal attainment and developing supplier relations, including quality and service level agreements and follow up
Manage relationship with suppliers in line with O-I Sourcing Strategies, identifying the saving potential to drive commercial advantage
Manage relationship with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Technical depts.)
Work with appropriate specialists to develop internal cost improvement plans
Work with suppliers to define continuous improvement action plans and to capture potential innovation competitive advantages for OI
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree: Engineer, Business or Procurement Degree preferred
Ideally 5+ years of experience in a purchasing and/or purchasing‑related role; preferably in a manufacturing environment
Experience of multinational organization
Highly developed negotiation skills
Proven track record supplier performance management
Experience within Procurement for at least 2 years
High MS Office knowledge (Excel/PowerPoint mainly)
SAP Procur. transactions and ad hoc reports
Travel Willing and able to travel frequently and internationally

Salary Range The expected salary range for this position will be between $130,000 - $155,000, with a potential 15% STI. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
