Overview Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians in a manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
Execute Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans.
Troubleshoot and repair all machinery and equipment.
Request tools, equipment, and supplies as required.
Maintain inventory of spare parts.
Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and standards.
Train machine operators when needed.
Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work mechanical/electrical problems.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Support Plant Safety Program.
Install and repair plumbing throughout the plant & offices.
Make minor electrical repairs on machinery, equipment and building electrical supply.
Maintain and repair fans throughout the buildings.
Installation and removal of machinery and equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Apprenticeship program preferred.
Five or more years of previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Must have knowledge of email and preventative maintenance database systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Regularly required to walk, stand, and bend.
