Responsibilities

Provides coordination, education, outreach and training for high-risk behavior prevention efforts including, but not limited to, alcohol and other drugs.

Identifies priorities based on data and evidence-based interventions using a public health approach to plan, implement, and evaluate theory- and evidence-based, innovative programs that focus on individuals and their environment.

Researches and develops resources for strategic efforts related to health and safety; collaborates with staff in other health promotion and prevention areas as needed; serves on related campus committees; oversees the planning, implementation and evaluation of theory and evidence-based health promotion strategies, policies, programs and services related to wellness and risk management.

Provides support for the collegiate recovery program including strategic planning; student programming; peer education; and the collegiate recovery space.

Assists in the recruitment, training, and supervision of student volunteers and student-staff (peer educators, graduate assistants, interns, etc.).

Qualifications Bachelor's degree and three years experience or a combination of post‑high‑school education and experience equal to seven years.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of the principles and practices of student program planning, development, and evaluation.

Ability to utilize conflict resolution skills.

Ability to train and supervise employees.

Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
