Job Description At Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) we are expanding the E‑7 Rapid Prototype Program located in Tukwila, WA. The Project Management Specialist (Level 3 or 4) will support mobilization, execution, and development of the rapidly growing E‑7 production and modification program. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a proven record of working quickly in a team environment to achieve targets.
Position Responsibilities
Leads, develops, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects.
Leads studies, analyses, risk assessments, and planning efforts to determine impacts or constraints involving program initiatives.
Identifies potential opportunities to support program objectives and overall affordability.
Forecasts risks and collaborates to develop mitigation plans to adhere to cost and schedule requirements.
Acts as primary project contact to support project goals and establish key stakeholder scope and responsibilities.
Directs all phases of projects or subsystems from inception through completion.
Comfortable with briefing status with both internal and external customers/government counterparts.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience leading cross‑functional teams.
Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
Experience preparing and presenting executive‑level briefings.
3+ years of experience using advanced features in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, business, or technical field.
Experience supporting a modification, manufacturing or production operations environment.
Familiarity working with regulatory agencies (DCMA, FAA, DOD/DOW, and/or Military).
Level 3: 3 or more years’ related work experience or equivalent education and experience.
Level 4 & 5: 5 or more years’ related work experience or equivalent education and experience.
Shift & Travel 1st Shift. Occasional travel may be required.
Location This position is 100% onsite in Tukwila, WA.
Security Clearance Requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance is required post‑start.
Export Control This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. The applicant must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62.
