What To Expect The Commercial Risk Analytics Manager provides risk analytics and reporting for the Dealer Finance, Commercial Vehicle Finance, and Mobility portfolios. Responsibilities include data gathering, analytics, reporting, model development/maintenance, loss prevention, forecasting, origination and portfolio management, as well as investigation, collection, and analysis of auto industry and economic data impacting credit risk.
What You Will Do
Data Collection and Analysis
Gather, maintain, report, reconcile and analyze data with the most up-to-date, accurate, and useful information to support department and business policies and regulatory requirements.
Build reports, dashboards, and monitoring tools, and early warning systems to enhance credit decision‑making and information reporting to upper management and the Risk Control Committee.
Develop and enhance early warning, inventory analysis, and risk management reports for the Commercial and Sales teams.
Develop and maintain portfolio risk scorecards and underwriting risk models for Dealer, Commercial Vehicle, and Mobility lending products.
Provide market and product research to support new market and new product introductions, collaborating with the Mobility team.
Prepare loss estimates for new Mobility products, including probability of default and loss given default analyses.
Maintain monthly pre‑approval lists for Subscription and other Commercial and Mobility products.
Support portfolio monitoring and recommend actions when key indicators deviate from expected performance.
Investigate and analyze auto industry, dealer and commercial vehicle financial statements, and economic information impacting credit risk.
Ensure the accuracy of key credit assumptions used in pricing, loss forecast, early warning, and risk grading models.
Coordinate with Commercial and Mobility teams to facilitate integration of new systems and reporting.
Produce reports on Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses (ALLL), IFRS9, CECL, and support FP&A and risk departmental requests.
Develop forecasting tools and provide timely projections for review and approval by senior risk leadership.
Provide compliance support, verify regulatory accuracy, and present results for monthly sign‑off.
Maintain project schedules and documentation for regulatory requirements.
What You Will Bring
5‑7 years of progressive experience in quantitative analysis within automotive captive, banking, commercial lending, or equipment finance.
Prior credit scorecard and statistical model development experience preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
Strong business acumen, technical skills, and ability to partner with stakeholders.
Proficiency in Python, SAS, SQL, Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, VBA, and Tableau.
Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and timelines.
Strong communication skills for explaining complex data analysis.
Experience developing statistical models (PD, LGD, scorecards, reserves, etc.).
Work Environment Employees in this class are expected to spend extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and using a computer in an office environment.
