Amentum is seeking technical specialist professionals with related education and/or experience to support Naval projects at Dahlgren, VA. You will be part of our growing systems & software engineering team and contribute across multiple prime contracts supporting our Centers of Excellence. You will solve complex digital engineering challenges for DoD weapons and sensor systems, modernizing the Navy and contributing to mission success.
Location:
Dahlgren, Virginia (on‑site). The position is contingent on contract award expected in 2026.
Responsibilities
Design, implementation, manufacturing, configuration, and check‑out of networks, systems, computer components, peripheral equipment, or networking hardware.
Utilize engineering analysis and development tools such as LabVIEW and MATLAB.
Maintain electromechanical laboratories and build/test cables and electronic sub‑assemblies.
Perform machining, assembly, or testing of prototype mechanical devices from provided designs.
Use CAD software such as SolidWorks/Pro Engineer.
Support systems or system components through technical documentation, maintenance, repair, operation, and support.
All Levels Requirements
Must obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. US Citizenship is required.
Maintain a valid Real ID driver’s license and have reliable transportation to the customer site. Rideshare options such as Uber and Lyft are not permitted.
Senior Level Minimum Requirements & Skills
Seven (7) years of experience with design, implementation, manufacturing, configuration, and check‑out of networks, systems, computer components, peripheral equipment, or networking hardware.
Experience with at least one of the following: LabVIEW/Matlab, electromechanical laboratory upkeep, building/testing cables and electronic sub‑assemblies, machining/assembly/testing of prototype mechanical devices, CAD software (SolidWorks/Pro Engineer), systems analysis, technical documentation, maintenance/repair/operation/support of system or system components.
Senior Desired Qualifications
Operator Proficiency Certified for J‑STD‑001.
IPC‑A‑610 certification (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies).
Junior to Mid Level Minimum Requirements & Skills
Three (3) years of experience with design, implementation, manufacturing, configuration, and check‑out of networks, systems, computer components, peripheral equipment, or networking hardware.
