$1,000 Sign‑On Bonus:
New Maintenance Managers who are in good standing with performance and attendance will be awarded a $1,000 sign‑on bonus ($500 to be paid out in the first paycheck of employment and the remaining $500 to be processed upon the 90th day of employment). Must sign an offer letter by 12/31/25 to be eligible.
The Maintenance Manager role is pivotal to each community's success. AVE is seeking a Maintenance Manager who is hands‑on and leads by example. The ideal candidate thrives on a fast‑paced and diversified operation.
Job Responsibilities
Inspire and motivate the maintenance team to achieve our high level of brand standards and overall resident experience.
Hold maintenance team members accountable for daily responsibilities.
Perform various maintenance functions in suites, amenity spaces, and indoor/outdoor areas including but not limited to painting, caulking, HVAC repairs, lock repairs, window/door repairs, electrical repairs, appliance repairs, preventative maintenance, changing light bulbs, filters, batteries, etc.
Complete resident service requests and prepare suites for move‑ins.
Create and execute preventative maintenance schedules including inspections of HVAC systems, interior/exterior lighting, fire safety, power washing, and more.
Manage all outside vendor work performed at the community.
Assist with the recruitment process for new maintenance team members, including interviewing candidates and training and onboarding new team members.
Assist with budgeting for the maintenance department and identify areas for potential cost savings.
Job Requirements
Minimum of two to five years of maintenance, construction, or related experience (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repairs).
Multifamily real estate or hospitality/hotel industry experience strongly preferred.
Minimum of one year of demonstrated leadership experience in managing a team, including coaching, mentoring, training, and holding team members accountable.
HVAC certified a plus (we will sponsor certification if not already certified).
Excellent communication skills.
Treat all guests with courtesy, respond to guests' needs in a timely manner, document requests when needed and report to Maintenance Manager.
Understands the importance of brand standards and has mindset to exceed expectation.
Consistently maintains a professional, positive, and courteous attitude when dealing with coworkers and residents at all times.
Reliable transportation for required on‑call rotation and community emergencies that may occur outside of normal business hours.
Compensation
$80,000+/year
Individual compensation decisions will vary as the annual base compensation range provided is approximate and determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, education, and geographic location. AVE also offers additional bonus potential paid out on a monthly and/or quarterly basis (dependent upon the position), which is not included in the base compensation range listed above.
