Job Description This position is a job family and will be filled at an exempt level 3E – 4E. It is responsible for applying sound inventory management tools and techniques in support of Fleet’s $8M+ parts and materials program. Responsibilities of the position include: procurement of stock/nonstock materials; reconciliation of material invoices; inventory management; management of parts related data in Fleet’s asset management system; maximizing savings through recommendations regarding consignment and bulk purchasing; ensuring Sarbanes‑Oxley and environmental compliance; supporting vendor warranties; support of volume procurement and procurement planning for in‑service assets. This position will report to the Fleet Materials Supervisor and will assist in the support of fleet materials for additional Southern Company OPCO’s as needed.

Education And Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
Prior inventory management experience with a commercial fleet parts and materials program is a plus.
Prior experience with OEM EPC’s (electronic parts catalog) and OEM/Aftermarket E‑Commerce inventory and procurement tools.
Experience utilizing analytical tools and techniques in support of a business unit: Excel experience preferred.
Database experience a plus.
Strong communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
The position requires an in‐depth knowledge of the purchasing requirements of a large organization, including compliance requirements, and inventory management practices and procedures.
Broad understanding of the company’s operations, policies, and procedures is a plus.
In‐depth knowledge of operations using OEM EPC’s.
Familiarization with fleet environmental policies and procedures.
Ability to operate in a matrix organization.
