Registration Coordinator

The position is 24 hours a week. The hours are 3pm - 11:30pm with one 4pm-12:30am shift (alternating weekdays within a 6-week rotating schedule) and two weekend shifts within the six-week schedule. The weekend shifts are also 3pm-11:30pm. This position also requires occasional holidays.
Responsibilities
Register patients and update information in the patient’s electronic medical record.
Perform a variety of administrative tasks to ensure that patient demographic, financial, and mandated information is accurate.
Provide patients and/or family members with required regulatory informational documents regarding their visit or admission.
Required Skills/Qualifications
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
Excellent guest relations and telephone demeanor.
Ability to professionally handle all interactions within a fast-paced, hectic and emotionally charged clinical environment.
Ability to think critically in making decisions to ensure urgent or emergent situations are handled correctly within hospital policies and procedures.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
Minimum two years of computer experience.
Minimum one to two years of experience in an acute hospital setting.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
License/Certification: N/A

Salary Range: $18.99 - $23.07 per hour.
