As we continue to build the next generation of industry‑leading firearms, we’re seeking a Buyer/Planner to play a critical role in our manufacturing success; procuring key materials, managing production schedules, and driving cost efficiencies across the supply chain. ROLE SUMMARY
The Buyer/Planner is responsible for sourcing raw materials, custom components, and MRO supplies while supporting production planning and cost reduction goals. This position works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure materials and production schedules align seamlessly with demand. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement & Negotiation
Source and purchase raw materials, machined parts, molded components, castings, outside services, and MRO supplies that meet strict quality and delivery standards. Lead supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve measurable cost savings. Build and maintain supplier partnerships that ensure reliability, consistency, and innovation. Monitor supplier performance and resolve pricing, quality, or delivery issues promptly. Production Planning
Develop and manage production schedules that align with demand forecasts and factory work orders. Coordinate the release of materials to support on‑time manufacturing and continuous workflow. Balance inventory levels to optimize stock while maintaining operational efficiency. Data Management & Reporting
Partner with engineering and operations to maintain accurate BOMs, item master data, and vendor profiles in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred). Uphold data integrity to support decision‑making and production accuracy. Generate and deliver reports on procurement metrics, cost savings, and production performance. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or production planning within a manufacturing environment. Proven ability to deliver cost reduction results through strategic sourcing or negotiation. ERP/MRP proficiency (NetSuite strongly preferred) and advanced Excel skills. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machined and molded components. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven production environment. PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, JIT, or Kanban systems. Background in supply chain risk management and supplier development. Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau). Familiarity with cost accounting principles. APICS CPIM, CSCP, or ISM CPSM certification highly desirable. WHY T/C ARMS
