Operations Supervisor

Salary Range:
$62,500 - $65,000 (Depending on Experience)

Armed Driver Guards
General Function The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for learning all aspects of Loomis operations, including vault operations, coin operations, armored service and ATM technician training, and assisting in training and retention of ASTs. Responsibilities also include implementing and administering Loomis policies and procedures, monitoring daily operations, and assisting with long‑term operation of armored car routes and the cash vault. The Operations Supervisor will work alongside management to develop and maintain a professional, employee‑centered culture, ensuring safety, service quality, and cost‑effective operations.
Typical Duties / Responsibilities
Complete and maintain scheduling/routing on a daily basis.
Oversee and coordinate armored and ATM routes and dispatch, with occasional on‑route duty.
Control operation costs and maintain efficiency of route, terminal, and vault operations.
Ensure safety of employees, vehicles, and facilities through training, monitoring, and enforcement of policies.
Maintain security of cargo and terminal, including opening and closing protocols.
Investigate accidents and process required paperwork.
Develop and maintain customer service capabilities among operations staff.
Respond to customer inquiries and solve logistical issues.
Coordinate with sales, other branches, carriers, and vendors to implement viable operational solutions.
Control overtime hours and monitor employee vacation schedules.
Communicate with all employees to resolve issues promptly.
Provide leadership focused on professionalism, continuous improvement, and exceeding goals.
Recruit, interview, test, select, train, and supervise operations personnel.
Respond to emergencies such as employee injuries, security incidents, and vehicle incidents.
Manipulate and maintain route and vault data, both manual paperwork and electronic data.
Cover Saturday shifts with two other supervisors.
Assist with training of new operations employees, both classroom and on route.
Assist with completion of monthly commitments and audit binder upkeep.
Perform additional responsibilities assigned by the Operations Manager.
Key Relationships
Operations Manager – consult daily and accept direction.
Other Supervisors – collaborate to achieve branch goals.
Subordinates – train, counsel, discipline, and evaluate ASTs.
Customers – maintain regular communication.
Sales/Administration – coordinate on service updates, payroll, etc.
Level of Authority
Enforce corporate/district/branch policies.
Direct operations to meet branch objectives within policy guidelines.
Direct route operations, scheduling, and procedure enforcement.
Standards of Performance
Control losses through risk management, training, and discipline.
Control damages and injuries with safety programs and supervision.
Ensure compliance with all corporate, district, and branch policies.
Respond promptly to events and issues affecting safety, security, and efficiency.
Contribute to branch goals aligned with annual targets.
