Dairy Processing Operator – 6pm to 6am – $21/hr + Shift Diff
Join Lactalis U.S. Yogurt as a Dairy (Yogurt) Processor based in Brattleboro. We are looking for a dedicated operator to process yogurt bases, perform cleaning tasks, test raw milk, and operate the pasteurizer and other equipment as needed. This is a full‑time, 12‑hour shift position with competitive pay and benefits.
Schedule 12‑hour shift: 6 pm–6 am Week One: 3 days on / 4 days off Week Two: 4 days on / 3 days off
Key Responsibilities Operate processing equipment in compliance with quality assurance, productivity, OSHA, and safety standards. Assemble and disassemble equipment for cleaning and sanitizing per manufacturer’s instructions. Monitor and control temperatures, pressures, and flow throughout the processing cycle. Adhere to testing procedures and provide required samples to the laboratory before packaging. Monitor and control the flow of product from processing to packaging.
Qualifications Demonstrate commitment to a safe working environment. Operate lab equipment to support milk testing. Update milk composition data. Operate equipment using Human Interface System (HMI). Enter batch results and inventory control using SAP. Complete chart verification to state standards. Perform cleaning (MSS) and periodic maintenance as scheduled. Follow all SOPs and GMP. Follow lock‑out/tag‑out procedures. Practice good housekeeping. Plan and schedule batches with limited supervision. Understand clean‑in‑place systems and processes. Physical ability to perform equipment maintenance as needed.
Skills & Abilities HTST trained or willing to attend training. Understanding of food safety and HACCP. Flexible mindset. Ability to work independently and make decisions.
