Warehouse Team Lead 1 at Wayfair

Base pay: $21.75 per hour + $1.50 per hour for SEO Premium when applicable. Shift premium: $1.50 per hour for hours worked between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am.

Shift

Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.

What You’ll Do

The Warehouse Team Lead will assist the supervisor with managing and overseeing all functions of the warehouse, ensuring smooth operations.

Lead the receiving department and ensure proper usage.

Delegate and assign work to maintain a 100% fill rate.

Help manage inventory and conduct necessary training within the department.

Ensure proper use and accountability of tools.

Ensure hours and functions are recorded correctly (e.g., time clocks).

Respond to email and verbal questions in a timely manner.

Keep products moving and oversee the cleanliness of the department, including daily trash compacting.

Additional responsibilities as assigned.

What You’ll Need

Working understanding of WMS system.

Leadership and motivational skills, and ability to make decisions with little guidance based on policies.

Floor position requiring physical movement/processing of products and leading a team of warehouse associates.

Comfortable with lifting up to 75 lb unassisted and maneuvering products >150 lb.

Experience in more than one department: receiving, inventory control, pick, pack, ship, and return.

Experience with composing and replying to emails.

Power Equipment experience – ability to operate or willingness to be trained on Powered Industrial Truck Operations (PITO).

Experience creating and updating systems such as trouble tickets.

2+ years of relevant work experience; excellent attendance.

Understanding of High Jump is a plus.

Ability to read and comprehend English for safety.
