The role: AMD’s Analog Engineering team delivers third‑party interface IPs to AMD products including Discrete GPU, Machine Intelligence, APU, Server, and Game consoles as well as executing on characterization efforts for third‑party and internal IPs. The Security IP team develops hardware security blocks for AMD products to implement secure boot mechanisms, enable hardware‑accelerated encryption/decryption, and provide application software with security services like random number generation and secure key management. You’ll be working with the global team as Program Manager and Operations Lead for these groups.

Key Responsibilities

Central point of contact for both internal and external teams for Analog Engineering and SecIP operational functions.

Provide budgetary planning and analysis of actuals related to labor, equipment, materials and capital for the engineering organization.

Drive scoping for new projects and long‑lead IP development.

Assist with problem solving and issue resolution—including escalation and prioritizations.

Create executive‑level presentations.

Develop metrics and analytics to measure overall departmental efficiencies.

Identify potential improvements in departmental processes and work on enhancements to improve efficiency of data collection and accuracy.

Partner with other AMD program management and analytics teams to define and improve company‑wide processes.

Drive IP roadmap planning.

Preferred Experience

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, negotiation, and organizational skills to manage time, schedules, and resources for project success.

Preferred a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3 years experience in related field or equivalent combination of education, related training, and experience.

Expert knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with MS Project and Visio is a plus.

Knowledge of databases and SQL.

Proficient writing skills for technical documents.

Ability to formulate conclusions and provide summary analysis and interpretation to management.

Ability to monitor trends and address issues due to data discrepancies.

Academic Credentials

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

Formal project management education, PMP / Scrum Master.
