Basic Job Functions The role of the QMS Coordinator is to implement the requirements of the applicable Quality Standards and develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS). The QMS Coordinator is a change agent and fosters continual improvement for the overall improvement of the QMS. This position also involves training, conducting presentations, interacting with teammates and management on quality issues, auditing internally, at other Nucor divisions and suppliers, as well as handling customer issues. Other duties and continued training as required. The qualified candidate is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment. Safety, quality, and integrity are integral to the QMS Coordinator position. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US and Nucor Steel Brandenburg will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future for this position.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with Quality System(s) (e.g., ISO 9001 or other comparable standards)
Experience with electronic Management Systems/Databases/Data Analytics
Two-year technical degree or equivalent work experience
Experience in a manufacturing/production process or quality related field
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a steel or manufacturing related industry
Experience with international standards (e.g., EN, DNV, LR, etc.)
Experience in maintaining a Quality Management System
CQA -Certified Quality Auditor or ISO Auditor Certification
